What Athletic Budget Coach can do for you

Here are some of the things we do:

  • We can help your institution comply with Title IX reporting (EADA – Equity in Athletics Disclosure Act).  This report is sent to the Department of Education by October 30 every year.
  • We can customize an Audit Prep Guide © to help you prepare the NCAA Report of Agreed-Upon Procedures.
  1. Division I must have their review of NCAA Agreed-Upon Procedures independently audited every year.
  2. Division II must have their review of NCAA Agreed-Upon Procedures independently audited every three years.  Although an independent audit is only required tri-annually the report must still be prepared each year.
  3. Division III is not required to have an external review of agreed-upon procedures but we advise schools to periodically have this done because it is a good way to benchmark their spending.
  • Aid in the creation of a Manual of Best Practices.  We review how the athletic department uses institutional procedures such as accounts payable and purchasing in their specialized area.
  • We study how you handle cash (ticket sales, donations and other fundraising) and help you develop segregation of duties best practices.  This is particularly important in small schools where ticket sales and other deposits may be handled by the same person.  We teach you how to bring others into the process.
  • We can help you organize team travel.
  • We can help bridge the gap between institutional business and athletics.

Investing time and treasure in the right systems for your program can save you countless time and treasure in the long run.
